This 1949 Coombs Watt Five Pounds R47 banknote retains good body, has sharp colour and is wonderfully crisp. Serial number S7 – 361001. My contention however is that although this note has all the characteristics of an Uncirculated example, the note has at some point in its life been lightly cleaned. Still a very nice example and priced to sell.
