The 1942-S Florin was struck at the San Francisco Mint to a mintage of 6,000,000, produced in addition to 17,896,000 pieces produced at the Melbourne Mint in the same year in the reign of George VI. Obverse design by Thomas H Paget the Reverse by George Kruger Gray.
