1937 Australian Crown

Released to commemorate the coronation of King George VI, the 1937 & 1938 Crown remain Australia’s largest coins ever struck for general circulation. They proved unpopular with the general public due to their size and weight and were ultimately discontinued from Australian circulating coinage.
