1978 Proof Set

The 1978 Proof Set was produced by the Royal Australian Mint and comprises of six coins struck to Proof quality with each denomination celebrating a different aspect of Australia’s wildlife. The 1978 Proof Set is encased in a specially designed hard plastic slab that was sealed by ultrasonic welding, thereby securely encasing the coins and reducing any chance of unnecessary damage due to exposure to the air and general mishandling. The obverse design was by Arnold Machin, the reverse design by Stuart Devlin. Please note: The coins in this 1978 Proof Set are free from toning and or significant turning. The foam case is original but in used condition. An original certificate is supplied with the set.
